What is the Cool Creations Pudding Competition?

The Cool Creations Pudding Competition is a fun, curriculum-friendly KS1 initiative that combines storytelling, food education and creativity.
​
Using the story The Magic Pause Button and tailored resources, children discover:

Where bananas come from and how they're grown.
-
Why we shouldn’t waste them.
-
How freezing can help.
-
And how any fruit can be transformed into exciting, tasty puddings.
​
From banana ice cream to mango sorbet and fruity “bark”, children are encouraged to experiment, explore and create at home.
​
How Does the Competition Support Children's Learning? ​​
​
This competition and the class resources are tied to the curriculum in multiple ways through:

PSHE: Healthy choices, responsibility, caring for resources.

Science (KS1): Plants as food, observing change.

Design & Technology: Designing simple food products.

Art & English: Drawing, labelling, explaining ideas.

Schools can sign up to either the free digital package or upgrade to the 'Champions Package', which includes prizes and stickers for the kids.
